Over 65s the next priority group to receive their vaccinations
Letters are now being sent to those aged 65 and over to invite them to book their vaccination. Letters from the national booking system are expected to start arriving from Friday (12/02), with people able to book appointments for next Monday (15/02) and onwards.
In the same way as previous cohorts (and unlike our call to the over 70s this week), the NHS will be asking people to wait to be invited and to please be patient.
People will also start to be invited via their GP practices. As before, the national booking service will be inviting people to book appointments at larger centres, such as Epsom Racecourse or community pharmacies; if people prefer to wait to be contacted by their GP practice so they can have their vaccination at one of the local GP-led vaccination services, they can do so. Please be patient, everyone will be called but we won’t be able to invite everyone at once.
